Ultra Violet rays can often make outdoor photographs indistinct and hazy. The Hoya Pro 1D Ultraviolet UV(0) filter absorbs the ultra violet rays, making it ideal for both fine weather photographs as well as for black and white films, while serving as a permanent lens protector.
Light rays which are reflected by any surface can become polarised so polarising filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. The Hoya Standard Circular Polarising filter allows you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc.
