There are two main functions of adding filter to your lenses. So much money is spent on lenses and the filter is one of the best ways to protect this investment. If you ever happen to drop your camera, the lens filter will take the majority of the impact and more often than not protect your lens. Your lens filters can also assist in your creativity of photography. They can enhance your images by saturating the colours and reduce reflections in your images as well as assist in exposure or even offer a cost effective way to do close up macro photography.

1. Firstly you will need to determine what size filter you require. Inspect your lens that you want to attach the filter to. Look for a circle with a line through it. This symbol indicates the size of the filter and there will be a few numbers after it. For example it may say 58mm. This is the size of the filter you require.

2. Now you know what size filter you require you can then use the "Search By Size" option on our website. From the drop down box you can select your filter size you require and hit search and it will automatically show you the filters that we offer in your size!! :)

3. A UV Filter is a fantastic way to reduce the ultraviolet rays which often makes outdoor photographs hazy and indistinct. It is also a great way to protect your lens and the glass on your lens from scratches and smduges.

4. If you are looking for a filter that assist's in darkening the sky and saturating the colours in your images choose a Circular Polarising Filter. This is also a great filter when photographing near water as it reduces the glare from the sun reflecting off the water. Also when photographing things through glass this is a great filter as it reduces the reflections off windows.

5. The Close Up Filter Sets are a great way to zoom in on the macro world of photography. They not only increase the minimum focusing distance of your lens but also decreases the depth of field to really focus in on a certain point.
